Blake’s Story
Blake Douglas began his career in the industry working at StudySync TV, a production company that specializes in short form, educational content. After appearing in two of their shorts as an actor, Blake pivoted into script editing for the company in his middle school years. It was in high school that Blake discovered his passion for filmmaking, writing and horror cinema. His one act play, On Trial was a finalist in the Marin Theater Company Young Playwrights Festival. He was later published in the poetry anthology Sand & Saltwater. Blake pivoted hard into film directing with his debut short film Love V2.0 before joining Loyola Marymount University’s film production program. It was here he was hired by Screenager productions to help write and direct the horror film Welcome Week: A College Horror Anthology which had its premiere at Salem, Massachusetts. Blake has since returned to short filmmaking and is in post production on three films in the horror genre: Vashtar 2.0, Dead in Bed and Tasting Room. He is currently employed as a script writer for non-fiction YouTube true-crime/mystery channel Piney.
